The Paris Olympic medalist Helen Marolis, Kennedy Blades and Spencer Lee titled the US wrestling team for the September World Championship.
Marolis, Blades and Lee were among the winners in Saturday’s final X-a series of best-three finals per weight class to determine the roster for the world in Croatia.
Marolis, who became the first American woman to win the Olympic Wrestling Gold in 2016, was swept away by Amanda Martinez for 57 kg ranked.
The 33 -year -old Marolis is currently tied with Edeline Gray for the most joint Olympics and world medal for an American woman wrestler (10). She is also a three Olympic medal -winning loan US woman wrestler who also takes bronze in Tokyo and Paris.
In Paris, 76 kg silver medalist blades dropped Brooklyn Hayes in their Olympic debut, 68 kg and 21 years of age to form their first senior world team.
The Paris Olympic 57 kg silver medalist Lee, Luke is going to his first senior world after sweeping Lieldhal. Lee is already a world champion at U17 and U20 levels.
In 86 kg, Zahid Valencia swept the two -time Olympic 74 kg bronze medalist Kail Deke. This is the first time the world champion deck in 74 kg and 79 kg has been beaten for the world team’s location since 2017.
None of the Americans who won gold in Paris competed in the final X. Sara Hildebrandt retired, and Amit Ellor remembered the incident due to health reasons,
