Seriously
For the next aristocratic swimmers of the Northeast Florida, the glitter time is now.
With the Olympic champions Callab Dressell and Ryan Murphy, a new wave of jacksonville-sector swimmers will lead the route for the first coast against the country’s best against the country’s best in the Pool in five days at the USA Swimming National Championship, the Indiana University in IndianaPolis is scheduled for 3-7 June in Natatorium.
While recently Florida High School Athletic Association Champions such as Andy Kravchenko (Bols) and Carter Right (Bishop Kenny) will be in action, swimming giant Dressel and Murphy-two were not selected to enter the top-five honors in the largest range of Jacks of Times-Union in 2024.
Murphy earlier announced in May that he planned to take a break from competitive swimming in summer, while Los Angeles left the door open to return for action before 2028 Olympics.
Dressel competed at a Pro Swim Series event in Fort Lauderdel from 30 April to 3 May, which includes fourth place finish in 50 meter butterfly, but its name did not appear in the list of admissions announced for citizens by USA swimming. His wife, Meghan, announced in the November social media post that the couple’s second child was coming in June.
Between them, Dressel and Murphy have combined 19 medals at the last three Olympics for the United States, 14 of them for gold.
Also in this meeting, former Episcopal swimmer Julian Smith, NCAA Breeststroke Champion with Florida this year, and former Bartram Trail Swimmer McGuer McDaf, is a finalist in the 2024 US Olympic trial.
The name of a Jacksonville-sector which is back in action, however, is Santo Kondoreli. Bols Bachelor, who won the Olympic silver medal representing Italy in the 4×100 relay in Tokyo, is scheduled for the race in 50 freestyle.
The Olympic gold medalist Bobby Finke, Katie Leedki and Tory Husse are among the top Americans, running in Indianapolis.
