‘This is a challenge’ – Arsenal Boss Sleghes previews the Leester City Test

Arsenal’s head coach Rene Sleggers say she hopes to face a Leester City team that is full of fighting at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

Gunners host Fox in their latest Barclays Women’s Super League stability in N7.

Leester City is yet to win on the road this season, but has been late and in a good form of arsenal boss sleeks, expecting a competitive game in North London this evening.

“I think they are really going to fight hard for the points and I think they want to stop the spaces as much as possible,” Sleggers said while speaking at a pre-match press conference. “They are going to run, they are going to fight and they are trying and winning the couple and making things against us, so, we have to stay on top of it.

“Leester has a lot to play and it’s going to be a challenge for us because I think the way they press and the player-for-play system in moments, we will have to be really good on the ball so that it can be defeated. They have a little danger and at the same time we have to manage during the game, but we are ready to challenge.”

Lester City has a joint-sequential defensive record at the bottom half of the Barclay Women’s Super League table and sleigers know that breaking foxes will be a challenge.

He said, “I think they are doing well. I think they use their strength well. They are very happy to defend, I think they really work hard as a group. It is difficult to score against them, both open sports and set pieces and they also need it, they need to go to every point.

Arsenal has a huge UEFA Women’s Champions League tie against Lyon over the weekend, but Sleggers say clear targets have been set for the team in the league form case.

He said “We are clear as a group that we have two objectives for the block. One of them is getting four out of four. [wins] In WSL. This is what we want, this is what we all can do and it starts against the lecester, so it is a big goal for us to reach it. All eyes are set on a very good game against lecester. ,
