So’oto, Brown named co-defense coordinators as Cal Staff finalizes moves

Justin Wilcox appeared in a crowd to take the name of a defensive coordinator before this spring, when Peter Sirmon opted to leave Cal for NFL and a place on employees with New Orleans Saints.
At that time, the ninth-year-year-old head coach said that employees will meanwhile and add more responsibilities for current staff members. During the spring ball, Wilcox indicated that the show may have more than one coach to run the show on that side.
On Thursday afternoon, The Bears announced that defensive back coach Terence Brown and Linebackers Coach Wick So’Ooto would divide the defensive coordinator duties in the 2025 season.
Both coaches are going to their fourth session in Berkeley and both have added duties to their titles since coming for the 2022 season. SO’oto has been coordinators of CAL’s special teams from 2023, while Brown was recently promoted to pass the game coordinator before the spring practice after the departure of SIRMON and fellow defense back coach Tray Tray Watson.
Brown will continue to work with a defensive back unit despite adding the role of a co-defensive coordinator to his title on Thursday. So the outer linebacker for’o Beers will continue to run the group, although it is not clear whether it will play the coordinator of special teams to move forward.
In addition to extended roles for brown and soot, the defensive line coach Andrew Browning received additional duties as new run game coordinator to coincide with other employees’ changes.

Havard, Gregory Returning to Cal as the latest offsen staff addition
The coordinator announced with the plan at the location, Cal started hiring two new defensive staff members to score the group on that side of the ball. The two new coaches have a pre -working experience to work on Cal under the leadership of former Defense Coordinator Bob Gregory, returning to the beer as a new senior defensive assistant at Stanford after his time, as coordinator of safari/special teams.
Gregory guided the protection of bears from 2002-09, a long college coaching career. He has worked on a large scale with linebackers throughout his career, and is expected to spend most of his time to work with the new support of Linebackers coach Michael Bruno this season.
The Washington native has history with the Willcox and is one of the new assistants with the previous relationship of the Cal Head Coach. Her first full -time position at a division I school came to Oregen in 1998 when she directed the defensive back group in Eugene with overlapping overlapping over the time of Vilcox.
The changes of recent rules have allowed programs to expand their employees and add new on-field positions, which pave the way for on-field instructions for Gregory. Nick Rollovic was brought to a similar role on the aggressive side of the ball.

Keith Havard is the other coaches returning to Cal after the name of the new defensive back coach for Beers on Thursday. Oregon State Alumganic recently stepped down from her post as a defensive coordinator in her Alma Metter and will re -connect the bear after serving as a linebackers coach out in the 2021 season.
Havard is another assistant on new Cal employees with coordinator experience, which has held the position in UNLV during the 2022 season. Cal Poly, a native of Woodland Hills, California, has been a full -time coach since the 2007 season, with most of his attention to secondary.
After Watson’s departure by Watson, Alan Brown gave beer three defensive back coaches after adding Allen Brown to the group. Both will work with Terence Brown in secondary.
It has been a busy offense for beers, with almost wholesale employees the latest additions on defense along with crime. Among all, Beers have added eight new on-field coaches for many others, in addition to additional duties, already on employees for many others.
Apart from Ron Riviera, all this was returning as the new general manager for Berkeley for Berkeley.
Call is ending its first winning season since 2019 and 6-7 in the last two years.
