Shohei Ohtani returned to the mound on Tuesday as he makes his comeback in pitching in a real MLB game.

He looked great with most accounts.

Ohtani played three simulated innings against live minor league batsmen at Petco Park on Tuesday afternoon before the NL West Tilt between his Los Angeles Dojers and San Diego Padress.

Again, the effort was against the minor league batsmen during batting practice. But this is another encouraging sign for doseers and their fans who are eager to see a two-way superstar pitch in the first Dodger Blue.

Tuesday’s fake innings was the first of Ohtani on the mound after the May 31 season, which went to two innings. It was throwing a live batting practice session for the third time and the first time he was over two innings.

Ohtani’s pitching work was limited to the earlier Bulpen sessions that did not include the batsmen.

So when will Ohtani really pitch?

There were no immediate updates from the doors after the session of Ohtani on Tuesday. Roberts first said after Ohtani’s 31 May season that he would need to reach “five or six” simulated innings, considering putting it in a real baseball game before the doseers.

“You still have found in five or six innings, so we have still found a way. … I didn’t ask what was the velocity, I think a safe estimate is somewhere in the mid -90s.”

Ohtani did not pitch in a game since August 23, 2023, when he was a member of Los Angeles Angels. He underwent surgery a month later to repair the Ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He first performed Tommy John Surgery in 2018.

Ohtani signed with the following offshine with doseers and earned his third MVP after a historic 50–50 season in the plate. Doesers first of the World Series Championship, Ohtani.

Ohtani made another sensational start in the plate, including NL-Best 23 Home runs through Monday. But his return to the mound is still not clear as his absence reaches near a two -year mark.

The 40–27 dosers team leading a tight race in NL West can definitely use Ostani’s pitching services, which is at an all-star level at its best level. But do not expect them to be careful in the air.

They will not put Ohtani on the mound until they and their medical staff are completely convinced that he is ready. Meanwhile, doseers and their fan can take solitude for the fourth MVP in the plate in search of Ohtani.
