NFL’s march is going on towards the 18-Game season, even if it is not in front and center in this week’s league meeting.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodll said that shifting the schedule in 18 regular-season games and two presidents were “not focus” of the league meeting. But Goodll said that the league meeting focused a lot on health and safety, and this is the key to the work of the health and safety 18-game season.
Goodll said, “We will continue to analyze it, we will continue to discuss it, obviously, with the players,” Gudel said. “We all will do our work on it. A lot of these things affect whether you will go to 18 with health and safety issues.”
In fact, it is unlikely that NFL will be with the current 17-game format forever. More money is to be made with more sports, and even if the players do not like the idea of more wear and tear on their body, they will prefer the idea of their own part of league revenue. The 18-Game season is not here yet, but it is probably not far away.
