Qualifier Jenson Brooksby finished 507 in the world, harassing the second seed Francis Tiafo 6-4, 6–2 to win the US Men’s Clay Court Championship in Houston on Sunday.
Brooksbi has pulled up the upset throughout the week, saving a match point in three matches after battling qualifying to defeat top seed Tommy Paul in the semi -finals.

But he was under the control of the All-American Final from the beginning as he achieved his first career ATP title in style.
The 24-year-old killed Tiafo’s first two service games with a 4–0 lead, killing a series of magnificent winners and although he quit the lead and returned 4-4, he broke again to secure the set, winning with a pickup volley and fell on the floor.
This was Tiafo’s third direct final at the event, but was unable to return to the competition in World No. 17 second set, a luxurious backhand passing shot from Brooksbi allowed him to break for 4–2.
Brooksbi won eight of the last ten matches and converted into five out of five break points.

Bruxbi’s promising career progress, which saw him reaching the high ranking of the 33rd career in 2022, harassing him from 13 months suspension for anti -doping violations, excluded from action until March, 2024.
He arrived in the third round in the Indian Wales, allowing him to climb above 937 in the ranking and will see his victory in Texas returning to the top 200.
During the trophy ceremony, Brooksby said, “Thanks to my team. All ways from qualifying, match point down,” Brooksbi said during the trophy ceremony. “It is very intense, so thanks for staying with it, every match, every day here for me.”
