Former Manchester United Midfielder Scott Mactmin sent a touch message to Johnny Evans as he was retired from professional football.

Evans finally decided to call it one day after the end of his contract with United.

He won two league cups with three Premier League titles, Champions League, FA Cup and United. Evans also won the FA Cup with Lester City.

The 37 -year -old won 107 caps for North Ireland and is considered one of the greatest players in his country.

Evans enjoyed two mantras at Old Trafford, through the club’s respected youth system. He line up for a senior team of Red Devils between 2006 and 2015, before he left and joined the West Brom.

After West Brom, Evans signed for lester and then returned to United in 2023.

He initially went back to United on a short-term deal during his pre-season build-up and in the process, earned himself a year deal before signing a new extension, which ended in this summer.

Evans played for the last time on Friday during United’s 3–1 return on Hong Kong.

MCTMINAY was better discovered in Evans during the second term in United, as he shared the dressing room for a year before Mactmin made his step into Napoli.

Earlier on Sunday, Mactmin wrote on Instagram, “You are one of the best players, characters and professionals I have given happiness to play together.”

“Very lucky to share some amazing memories with you.”

“An incredible career and I do not want you anything other than the best in your retirement. (When we play golf).”

It is clear that Evans left a permanent impression on MCTMINAY.
