Baltimore Orioles Ruki Kobi Mayo’s first MLB RBI turned into a adventure for its own construction on Saturday.

In his 22nd career game, the top -100 probability finally scored Ryan with Ryan O’Harn from Ryan O’Harn in the fourth innings with RBI Single. However, the drama became sour when Chicago White Sax Third Basman Josh Rosas threw one from the left fielding Joshua Palasios and caught Mayo secretly in another base.

The play turned into a randon between the first and the second. Mayo was quickly caught, and the first Basman Miguel Vargas responded by giving Lenin Sosa a difficult shove before tagging her. Both Sosa and Vargas took exception to Shaw, while facing Mayo, they kept it on the ground. Mayo did not appreciate the treatment, pushing Sosa as he went away.

Bench Clearing Q.

The biggest thing is that 23 -year -old Mayo’s Shaw can be seen trying to make an intervention call on Sosa while exiting the baseline to avoid the tag. However, this strategy does not work so well when you provoke contact with your external weapons, with a fielder who has gone out of the baspath.

Mayo confirmed what he was doing after the game, Masan’s Roach Kubatco,

“Yes, of course, just trying to go on a second basis and trying to get into a scoring position for Haston (Kajerstad),” said Mayo. “It cuts it down and got into a randon. Obviously, it is said in a minor leagues to try to live in a randon, and I felt that he was in the base line and trying to get some contacts. It did not mean that I was not trying to do so.

“People always have your back. I think everyone here will fight for each other – not literally, but, you know, everyone has a back of each other. I think that’s all happened. Looking out for the teammates, and we will do the same thing for them.”

Oriols interim manager Tony Manasolino provided a little more expansion behind the play, but eventually agreed with UMPS not to buy Mayo’s efforts:

“Now he is an infielder, okay? So when we are in spring training, we are talking about randon, one of the things that we constantly talk with our infielders, are not crossing the line because if there is contact with the infielder then it is a, I think they call it typ 2 obstacles, and then you get another base.

“So, I think Kobi easily demanded such contact, which, visually, it probably did not look best, but I think most coaches would probably go, ‘Not a bad baseball game.” Just did not work (these) in our favor.

Finally, it was a rogue moment for a player whose career has not started on the best leg. Mayo Oriols’ youth movement is one of the Sinier Prices – MLB Pipeline ranked him as a possibility of number 14 in baseball entering the season – but he entered 59 plates between 2024 and 2025 on Saturday. 094/.186/.094.

Mayo, whose power is classified as a plus-plus by the pipeline, is still waiting for its first additional-base hit into large leagues. He has all the opportunity to become a everyday player in the Oriols Infield, as soon as he is in the minors as he starts killing.

Unfortunately, even the first RBI showed that they still have to learn something.
