UFC’s Matheus Camilo remembers the emotional family moment after signing
UFC Lightweight Maths Cammillo spoke to MMA Junkie Radio before his campaigner debut at UFC Fight Knight 256 at UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Maths Camillo always felt that this would happen, but now he can officially call himself a UFC fighter.

I am very happy. I like him.
Camillo was initially disappointed that the performance was slightly wrestling due to his opponent’s approach. But self-criticism quickly evaporated when “Korean Zombie” told him that the UFC CEO wanted to make a video call with him after the fight.
“I was very happy, but I didn’t know what was going on, if he is just going to say,” Oh, you have a great fight. A lot of emotions were flowing through Camillo, especially given relationships with his backstory and his family. When his father died during the height of the Kovid -19 epidemic, Camillo decided to leave his MMA trip -but his mother would not let this happen. To tell her mother that it was finally worth that Camillo would cherish forever.
“I wanted to surprise him and he became so emotional, became so emotional,” said Camillo. “To answer your question, after my fight in Korea and everything and I knew that I was already in the UFC, I called my mother inside the incident. She was crying a lot. She was crying a lot. Five years ago when my father was near, I wanted to lose. I did not want to fight in any way. I wanted to do another work to change my life because I was a provider for our house. I wanted to work.
“She told me, she came to me and said, ‘No, you are going to follow your dreams, go back to Rio de Janeiro, follow your dreams. Because it is your dream and your father’s dream.” That day, I called her and she was crying.
Saturday, Camillo (9-2 MMA, 0–0 UFC made his campaigner debut at UFC Fight Night 256 at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. If he was not on Claude 9, he must have been lying.
“Bhavna is very grateful,” Camillo said. “It’s just and always feeling, I feel very grateful to be a UFC fighter. It’s very different. You feel good. You feel at home.”
