Many professional athletes are ready to represent their country every four years by competing at the Olympic Games, and for some 1,696 players of NFL, this dream can become a reality.
32 owners of the league passed Unanimous resolution At the Spring League meeting on Tuesday, which will allow players to try and compete in flag football during the 2028 Summer Olympics at Los Angeles.
According to the Associated Press, the National Committee for each country will select 10 players who will create their Olympic rosters. There will be six teams in separate tournaments for men and women. The report also states that only one player in the NFL Club will be allowed per country per country.

Following the historic announcement, the Management Council of the League plans to proceed to arrange for negotiations with NFL Players Association, National Glory Bodies and Olympic officials.
The historic decision of the 32 owners wants since the International Olympic Committee voted for the first time in history to add flag football to the next summer game in October 2023.
In addition to flag football, NFL announced its cooperation with the NFL Players Association that they would allow former and current players to compete in sports. Goodll said it would be an important milestone for the league as their athletes can now compete on the world stage.

“For our players, we think it is a tremendous opportunity for them to compete for the gold medal, to represent this country, which is the peak of the global games,” said Goodll.
The 2028 Summer Olympics will be from July 14–30, but Tuesday will be remembered as a historic day for players who have received official green lights to participate and participate in the Olympics.
