The tennis team of Bamidji High School boys emptied Suk Rapids-Rice 7–0, with 1–1 records in Tuesday at St. Claude and damaged St. Cloud Tech 5–2.
Both Dome Arrand and Brook Johnson ended the day with a 2–0 record. Arandt won two of his two wins in number 2 singles, defeating Storm’s Patrick Echors (6–0, 6-1) and Charlie Street (7-6, 6–0) of the crush. Johnson won the number 3 singles at St. Cloud Tech’s Isaac Peterson (6–1, 7-5) and Sauk Rapids-Rice’s Taishan Mehta (6-4, 6-1).
Owen Lappinga and Blake Fries won two sets against the storm. At number 1, Lapping made Hunter Road the best with a score of 6-3 and 6-2. Friends set his win at number 4 two 6–1.
The Lambarajack put Sauk Rapids-Rice into doubles in doubles, headed by Jack Macalon and Zach Utanuar’s two-set, 6–0 at number 1. Peter Matthews and Chase Fairchild formed a team to win in number 2 doubles, defeating Brexon Schmid and Rilan Dahl with a score of 6-3 and 6-2. On the number 3 doubles, the pair of Ethan Frank and Zach Graf won two sets on JD Fuantes and James Breenhofer (6–2, 6-1).
A couple failed to win against the Bamidji Crush.
