Andy Robertson has made his intentions clear: he wants to remain a liverpool player beyond 2026, and believes he still has the ability to perform at the highest level. A season, which ended in a premiere league title – the club’s 20th overall and first under the new manager Arne Slot – Scotland captain says he is far from ending.
Speaking during a clear chat with Jamie Kargar in a football for the Change Charity event in Liverpool, Robertson presented a glimpse in both his personal ambitions and his thoughts at the direction of the club after a landmark campaign.
Contract negotiation on horizon
With just one year on his current deal, Robertson has not hidden his desire to live. “I have only one year left,” he said. “So I hope all of you (fans) can help me make the same noise around a new contract as you did with Mo and Virgil!
Their message-serious, part tongue-in-gala-is clear: he believes that he is still playing at a qualified level of the Liverpool Football Club. And the number supports his claim. Despite being interrupted several times from injuries and rotation of the squad, Robertson performed 30 Premier League and helped Reds secure league-high 14 clean sheet.

Rumors have combined Liverpool with a step for Bornemouth’s Milos Curcase, which is a decade shorter than an emerging star and Robertson, but the experienced left-peetha is not surprised. Their focus remains on performance and continuity. “I still believe that I can still produce good performance and some really really good performance … I still think I can produce at the top level and if I can do this then this is where I am related and hope that I can stay here for many years to come.”
Slot champions determine their places on continuous success
Liverpool’s 5–1 win over Tottenham hots in Enfield sealed a major league campaign for the slot after the departure of Jargan Clop in May 2024. For Robertson and the experienced core of the club, Triumph is valid and an inspiration.
“This is what we hope,” Robertson said, when asked if Liverpool could create a new era of dominance. “Our team under Jargan was many times incredible … but we also believe that we should have been more.”

The title was won in 2020 – Pao during epidemic restrictions – a unique win, but a wrath was lacking. The success of this season will be celebrated properly, with an open-top bus parade and a full home in Enfield. “This time we will get a full house and parade that we all deserve and I think that is taking us forward.”

Mohammad Salah, Virgil Van Dijak, Alison Baker, Trent Alexander-Aneold and Joe Gomez, is part of a group that has surpassed clops and slots ages-and it is not lost on it.
