Michigan Softball is back in the NCAA tournament, the first women’s college of the program has been looking for the World Series attendance since 2016.
Under the leadership of Coach Boney Stall, The Wolverins (38–19) won its second direct Big Ten tournament title in a disturbed victory over UCLA on 10 May. They now heads Austin for the regional phase in a group organized by number 6 overall seed Texas (46–10).
The group also consists of Big 12 contenders UCF (33-22–1) and Ohio Valley Conference Champion Eastern Illinois (34-20).
Wulverin will first square against UCF at 2 pm on 16 May, which will broadcast the game on ESPN2. Should Wolverin win the game, he will face the winner of Eastern Illinois-Texas matchup at 1 pm on Saturday.
The regional phase uses a double-elimination format, which means the May 16 regional opener loses, then plays on 17 May, in which the loser is finished. The winner then faces a loser of the 17 winner bracket game of May, the winner has to face the winner of the winner’s bracket game in the regional final on 18 May.
The winners of Austin Regional will proceed to the Super Regional and will face the winner of Cla with Regional, including Claimson, USC Upstate, Northwestern and Kentaki. The Super Regional includes a best-three series, with the winner moving for the college world series in Oklahoma City starting on May 29.

Michigan opens his regional matchup against UCF, and the match -up will be determined by the result of each game.
