What drivers had to say after Sunday’s cup race in Texas Motor Speedway:
Joy Logano – Winner: “The game changes so soon. It’s crazy how you can ride these roller coaster. I am very proud of the team. Finally AAA is proud to receive insurance in victory lane. They are as a partner of mine, because I am in Penns, so they have won for 13 or 14 years.
Joy Logano won its 37th Career Cup.
Ross Chastain – finished 2nd: “Starting 31st, we wanted to go to +30 posts today. All this is on this crew – the engineering group and group in the trackhouse racing.
Joy Logano won his first cup of the season, while William Bayran remains the leader of the points.
Ryan Blanne – 3rd finished: “Once I had chosen outside 71 (Michael McDowell) and then I could not get it back. The bus driver prepared the dumb decisions and not to do his work. I appreciate the team. Today 12 cars were a sharp car. I can’t do anything right now. Hopefully it will work myself.”
Kyle Larsen-4th finished: “(Michael) McCowell did a very good job to restart the bus. When I did, he left a lot, and he was a shock behind him. He was clear to the lead. I just lost control of the race. He was a Bomer.
Eric Jones – 5th ended: “It was a dirty day in a lot of ways. We had two pit road penalts, but were just happy to come back and get a top five. It was very disappointing for a car, this year it is very strong like our first car that we are far ahead to throw it.
John Hunter Nemchec-8th ended: “This is very meaningful. We were unloaded with the speed of this week, which was good, in practice. Good long run was the speed of a fast dollar, a fast dollar, a fast dollar, Toyota Camry Excuse.
Daniel Suarez-10 was ranked: “This number 99 was a good day for the Kubota Chevrolet team. We had decent speed. Shane Van Gisbergen – finished 22nd: “My Safety -Culture Team was a decent finish today. Just in the beginning it was not comfortable with a car and struggled to find speed. Thank you for not giving up my 88 crew to never give up and continue working for better and better. We will learn and continue to improve.”
Michael McDowell – 26th ended: “I really hate this number 71 Delaware Life Chevrolet Team.
Josh Berry – 32nd ended: “The car was really good. I could quickly tell that our car was really strong, especially after the first pit stopped when we made an adjustment, it was really good and we really walked out and felt really good about it. Just started to go to Lap Traffic. I will do very differently in cars.
Alex Boman – 35th ended: “I only saw people ruin in front of me. I tried to get high. Number 16 (AJ Allomer) returned across the track and we all piled there. I hate that I hate that for this team. We were actually a fast number 48 Chevrolets. The next one.”
Denny Hamlin – finished 38th: “It was blowing for a lap or before it was actually exploded. I tried to keep it closed to keep it closed with full explosion, that was (so) They could diagnose what it has happened. What it is really, but they will go back and look at it and we will find it in a few weeks.”
