Draymond Green sends farewell message to Warriors Star on Thursday

After taking a 1–0 series lead over Minnesota Timberwells, Drummond Green and Golden State Warriors fell directly to finish their season in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.

A large part of the collapse of Warriors was the absence of Step Curry. The All-NBA guard faced a late hamstring injury in Game 1, leaving for the next four.

Along with sidelining the curry, Kuminga witnessed a significant increase in minutes and played an important role in keeping the warriors competitive with his scoring. The game over 2–5, he scored 24.2 points on 58.3% shooting, along with 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 per game with 1.2 assistance.

Kuminga will now enter Offsen as a restricted free agent after four years, ending $ 24.85 million. With his play in the last two sessions, Kuminga will probably demand much more money than the Golden State, which can already sit. Well on 2025-26 salary cap,

Green also knows that Kuminga will not be able to return to the next season. On Thursday, during a exhaust interview, Green shared a message on its fourth year team partner and had nothing but praise.

“His future is bright,” Green said. “Whether it is here or elsewhere, his future is bright. The talent of that kind usually detects it. And I think he will find it. As I said, I don’t know where it will happen, but wherever it will happen, I think it will just be fine because in his four years, I think he has grown a ton.”

Green said that he hoped Kuminga will remain in the Golden State, but he admitted that he is not sure what will be possible.

Green said, “They have great love and support because I want to see him doing well.” “In an ideal world, it will be here, but this game we play and this world is in us and this business is in us, it is not always ideal. We’ll see what happens, but of course wishing him luck with your independent agency.”

The warriors will now move to offsen with some major holes to fill. But he has strengthened his core under a contract with Curry, Butler and Green for the next season.
