However, Barcale spent a long part of his career in competition against Jordan, and also briefly as teammates on the team USA.
Jordan and Barkle faced a total of 55 times during their career – 39 of those matches came in regular sessions, while the other 16 were in playoffs.

Barkle really got more success than most players against Jordan, winning 24 of those 55 head-to-head games. He said, Jordan got better than him when it was the most important – in the 1993 NBA finals, Barkle and Phoenix were influenced by Sons. They did not meet again in the playoffs, and Barkle finally retired in 2000.
