Carlos Alakraj returned to the French Open final, when Lorenzo Musetti was injured while retreating 4-6 7-6 (3) 6-0 2-0. The second set tiebreak was important, in which Mussetti was playing well in the first two sets, before Alakraj won eight consecutive games, to reach the second finals in a row.

“At the beginning of the third set, I knew what I had to do,” Alakraj said. “I am pushing him to the limits, trying to run him from the side. Finally, you know, he had to retire, but I think it was a very important moment of the beginning of the third set.”
