The Cultics Star was named in the potential Maveryx Trade, which after the Kerry Irving News originally appeared on Ethalon Sports.
Former Boston Celtics Star Career Irving will be sidelined for a good portion of the 2025-26 season due to the torn ACL. Irving tore the ligament to the ligament in February, so when he should return during the season, it cannot happen until it passed for a few months.
Because Dallas Maveryx will enter the season with Anthony Davis and possibly Cooper Flag, they will compete for the playoffs, but they will need someone who can catch the backcourt until the returns of Irving.
A player who can help him in that regard is Junior Holiday. Holidays are certainly not a player as Irving, but he can fit the part that can fill for him and better yet, there may be a good complement when Irving returns.

Athletic’s J King Revealed that the holiday would have a business market, while explaining why Maveryx would be the best destination for him.
“There will be a market for (holiday),” the king wrote. “Between other teams, MAVERX can be understood very much … their team can use an additional balandler, while Kieri Irving returns once to play with a torn ACL and a defensive-mind backcort appearance and once to play with Irving.”

While Celtics and Maveryx have contracts to work it, Celtics will only trade business holidays if it protects them from the right amount. If Boston and Dallas had trade discussions related to holiday, a third team would join as Dallas does not have a cap flexibility to help Boston save money.
