Byu Crack ESPN’s future power ranking top 25 originally appeared on Ethalon Sports.
The roar in Provo was only loud.
After years of fighting for honor in national conversation, byu football fans finally have something new: a top 25 locations in ESPN Future power rankingA forward -looking evaluation of college football programs in the next two sessions (2025 and 2026). For the first time, Kagar ran the list 25th.
This is not just a number. This is a sign.
For a program that has been dismissed as an outsider during Power for Era, ESPN has a recognition of NOD progress and capacity. The ranking considers a mixture of quarterback stability, line play, roster management, recruitment, star power and coaching. And for Byu, those boxes are finally being checked.
The quarterback room is Merkey but promising. Jake Retzlaf, who led BYU in the 11-win season in 2024, is expected to return, although the legal issues related to a civil lawsuit can cloudy his future. Behind him, Byu has real options in McCae Hillstead and Treyson Bourguet, both have FBS initial experience.

In 2025, the trenches will look different, but it is not necessary that it is bad. Honorable Mention All-Big 12 Guard Welin Lapuaho Anchor is an alternative line with Michigan Transfer Andrew Gentry and Kail Sfarcioc of Southern Utah. On defense, Utah Transfer is the title of Kinu Tanuwasa and Returner Logan Lui, a unit, which has a very important wholesale and power added to the portal.
Despite losing some major players in the spring transfer window, Kaougar returned to the portal. He connected Justin Kirkland to deal with former Texas Ranger Tusili Akana and Oklahoma State. Linebacker Jack Kelly, in the reign of the year’s Big 12 defensive newcomer, returns to lead a unit that is low on experience but longer on capacity.
Byu also retained the impact on the crime. Chase Roberts, the team’s leading receivers, and LJ Martin, who used to run for more than 1,000 yards in 2024, are both returned. Add the first-tim all-beg 12 kicker will ferrin and a top-20 rank to 2026 recruitment category, and the pipeline looks promising.
Kalani Sitech enters her 10th season with her most complete employees yet. Coordinators J Hill and Aaron Roderick made a comeback after the 11–2 season, which re-writes expectations for Byu in Big 12. And now, they have received national recognition to prove it.
ESPN’s Future power ranking There is no prediction, they are a projection. But for byu, this moment looks like a significant twist. If coughars can navigate quarterback uncertainty and develop depth in trenches, they have a real chance to grow even more.
Kaagar Nation: This is your call to stay loud, remained loyal and prepare. The national spotlight is finally turning to Provo. And this time, it is not going anywhere.
