Breanna Stewart and New York Liberty were able to score an impressive run for the WNBA Championship last season. He defeated Minnesota Links in five matches to win the WNBA final.
This was a clear win when Liberty went out and brought Stewart before the 2023 season. New York wanted a championship and felt that Stewart might be missing.
During the last two years, Stewart has proved him correct.
During the 2024 WNBA season, Stewart played in 38 matches, an average of 20.4 points per game 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assistance, 1.7 stolen and 1.3 blocks. He shot 45.8% from the floor and a decline of 29.5% from his 3-point efforts.
After the championship run last season, Stewart has talked about that Liberty won all this.
“I hope people definitely appreciate it,” Stewart said“We won a championship was more than just my arrival. But the way we had done here in New York, it was changing and bringing that championship mentality – we did not live in a year, but we reached there in the year two. It reached there in the year two. It continues in the year three and continues in the rest of the years which I am playing, but also in this franchise.”
“We changed what was happening here in New York and to improve it”
