Arteta: Liverpool was in ‘right place, right time’ to win Premier League

Mikel Artetta believes the Liverpool “in the right place” and the ‘right moment “to win the Premier League title on Arsenal.

Reds topped the Tottenham Hotspur with a 5–1 win in Enfield last month, leading him a unavailable lead over 82 points after playing 34 games, while Gunners finished 15 points, finished second in the table.

Arteta claimed that Arsenal would have won the Premier League with the sum of its points from the last two sessions, when he ended the runner-up in Manchester City with 89 and 84 points respectively.

However, Liverpool may still potentially end the campaign with 91 points if they win their last three matches.

Arteta: Liverpool was in ‘right place, right time’ to win Premier League

Speaking before the Champions League semi -final second leg against PSG on Wednesday night, Artetta was asked how close his team was to win the trophy.

“We are going to try this season,” he replied. “Winning the trophy is about being in the right time at the right time.

“Liverpool has won the title with low points in the last two sessions. So you have to stay at the right place at the right time.

“Hopefully here we are in the right time and place in Paris tomorrow and earn the right to be in the finals.”

If the arsenal has to finish the season with a trophy, they will have to turn a-grass deficit from the home leg when facing PSG in Parc Des Princes.

Arteta says that the North London organization needs to be “hugged and take the game to make something special to reach the final of the Champions League”.

“To go to a final, you have to do something extraordinary throughout the tournament,” he said. “We have done a lot of great work, but tomorrow we need to raise it in Paris. To make history, we have the opportunity to do it.”
