Bemidji – Ava Phrakonkham simply wins.
Bagley/Fosston’s skillful track and field star section 8A meat is going back to the kingdom with three and first place with first place and first place. Overall, between Bagle/Fosston and Northom/Kellyher/Blackdak, the athletes of the region closed the state berth in seven incidents.
Phrakonkham won a pair of springs. He finished first in a 100 meter dash in 12.06 seconds, then for the first time in 200 in 200. Phrakonkham also won a long jump at 17-02.5. He anchored the 4×100 meter relay with Claire Clinhemer, Hatty Quam and Chela Olson by 50.21, which is sufficient for the first place.
Elison Lundin of Northom/Kellyher/Blackdak took the first time in girls 800 with a time of 2: 21.59. N/K/B’s Colton Connell also won 800 for boys at 2: 00.73.
Bagley/Fosston’s Charlie Capshaw threw the state qualifiers in the first place of 142.11 in boys’ discus, in second place four feet ahead of Roso’s Jake Borovicz.
Class A Prelims starts on Tuesday, June 10 at St. Michael-Albertville High School at 3:30 pm. The final will begin on Wednesday, June 11 at 3:30 pm.
