Alzaman Sterling did not surprise anything seen in the UFC 316 between Merb Dwarishwili and Sean O’Mali.

Similar to the first clash of Dvalishvili with O’Mali last September, Sterling played an important role in helping the UFC rule Banmitt champion to protect its latest title. The roles in the rimach were reversed, however, the dvalishvili was entering with the belt and was entering as o’Malley Challenger, yet the dvalishvili was very high once again, presented O’Malley with a vicious third round north-south choke.

On Wednesday, appearing in in-studio on “The Ariel Helvani Show”, Sterling said that he wondered that O’Mali looked better in the first battle, despite being O’le, there were nine months to prepare for Rimach.

“With respect, I did not see anything that was quite different,” Sterling said. “The only thing I can see honestly, perhaps he was more bouncing on his feet in round 1, side-to-side hoping. Perhaps it’s all that he was talking with his hip [being injured in the fight Dvalishvili fight]But honestly, it did not make any difference.

“I told Merb, ‘Man, I think I have a very good cardio, and if I am jumping around and throwing it like this and I am missing, and I am not able to slow you with any kind of loss, then you see what’s happening to me [getting tired] – This is going to happen to him. ‘I am telling you from experience. It is not possible to fake many times, hard fake, react, control the breath, all at the same time, and react to your rival movements and their quarrels, and be able to maintain that speed the whole time.

“I don’t want to be inappropriate with her,” Sterling continued, “but I don’t think that version of that [O’Malley] Seemed better than the first one. … He also closed Tekdown in the first battle. But at the end of the day, you stop Techdown, then what? [Dvalishvili] Is going to shoot again and again. Do you stop a takedown, you want a biscuit? Can you stop the third, fourth, fifth, sixth? Then, after that, have you really aggressive to win the round. When you break it in this way, it is a puzzle to try and find out, Merb. ,

Sterling’s own UFC Banomweight Title Regins thanked the infamous for an O’Mali knockout in 2023. The “Fankmaster” has since moved to the Fatherweight Division and has been a stability in the camps of Dwolishwili, such as for the current champion stering.

Regarding the O’Mali saga, Sterling hoped to get an immediate title of himself after leaving his belt in O’Mali, but the UFC went in the direction of a separate rematch instead, as O’Mali’s first title came against Raksha Marlon Vera. In March 2024, O’Mali won that battle.

Sterling has accepted the reality of the situation, although she is still bitter to some extent how things go out,

“I’ll lie if I said that I didn’t do [care that O’Malley got an immediate rematch and I didn’t]”Sterling said.” This is the same. This is certainly one of the things that they are not a cup of tea they want to keep back. Obviously my style is my style, so I get it in a business approach. But at the end of the day, this is so, you cannot be jealous of what other people get. The one who eats does not make me ***. Happy for him. He got it, I did not. I had to work for my ass, and this is something that no one can say about my career – I have never been assigned anything. I took a long road as if Merb had to take a long road, and we both cash and made it the best, and I think it is the beauty of our story. ,

Since coming to the division in April 2024, Sterling fought twice in Fatherweight. He unanimously defeated the perennial contender Kelvin Khochaki in the UFC 300, then the Movsar Evloev in UFC 310 last December faced a difficult-to-half decision loss.

In the title necklace and consistent hard weight cut 135 pounds, Sterling eventually inspired to leave its long weight class. Similarly, O’Mali has waged the possibility of fighting the featherweight in the past, most especially when he was expecting a big champion vs. champion clash against former featherweight titolder Ilya Topuriya. Dvalishvili now with a back-to-back-cut deficit on its resume, O’Malley suddenly got stuck in a pargeetry about his grammature title expectations.

If O’Malley eventually replaces the divisions, the sterling will welcome it with open hands.

Sterling said, “It will be fun because the storyline, and now people will see what an inspired sterling would look, and what they would have done in the first battle were given time to me.” “And I also asked [the UFC] To push the fight back, like, ‘Can we push it back by September or October, just to give me a little more time, so I can lose weight and first fix a whole proper camp to fix a whole proper camp, when my feet are defeated by *** and I have to do all this for all other items?’

“People don’t see this. They only look at the performance, and if you say something about it, you are a ** holes, you are making excuses. Then when O’Mal fought Merb for the first time, it is, ‘Oh, My Hip, The Lights,’ and all this is all other strange.

Sterling and O’Mali were too hot – and rivalry compared to O’Mali – was done with dvalishvili. Despite their history, however, sterling would not bother if he never redeems against his partner pre -shampoo. As a friend of Sterling and team partner, Dwarishwili’s victory was enough.

“I really don’t give about O’Mali as ***,” Sterling said. “I will roam out with that boy. I don’t have a vendetta, like, ‘I need to find this man.” I am satisfied seeing what I should do.

While Sterling is currently ready for its big wedding day, he is also thinking about his next wings fighting on a possible return in August or September. In the context of potential opponents, two especially he is closed in his crosshare.

“In an ideal world, in terms of name value, [fights] It is understandable that people are going to give about the fight as *** – Brian Ortega, “Sterling said.” Pre -title Challenger, one or two times. He is a homi, man. He is cool. I heard [he was moving to lightweight]But I think it was just rumors.

“I know that he was the same thing, he was in a bad headspace in some quarrels. We have seen that with him where he is actually doing something bad, then he will come back after taking some time and Bryan will come back and looks like a terrible world-butter. When he was fighting ‘Korean Zombie’ (Chan Sung Jung ‘, and he was not there.

“The next big name will be Arnold Ellen. This is a difficult battle for me. Southpow. Moveser had a difficult time holding him, and he is just a dog, man. When he knows that he is losing, he is just going and swinging.”
