WNBA Star Angel Reese took the Sportswoman of the Year honor at the 2025 BET Awards and Boxer Claresa Shields was on social media on 10 June after the top of the year and seven others.
“Still don’t know how I did not win the Sportswoman of the Year @Betawards But congratulations to Angel Reese and all other nominees, ” Shields posted on X With a shrug emoji. “I thought praise matters.”
In the last one year, Shields praised the WBO Light Heavyweight and WBC Heavyweight title Vanessa Lepages for the title and then defeated Daniel Perkins for the WBA Heavyweight title in February.
Reese won the award at the Star-Staded Grounds of Shields, Aja Wilson, Coco Goff, Don Steel, Flaze Johnson, Juju Watkins, Shaki Richardson and Simone Bills for the second consecutive year.
The two -time Olympic gold medalist Shields clarified that she supports Reese, but thought she was more worthy of respect.
“No one is saying that Angel Reese does not have praise or is not good … I thought that I thought the person will win the award with” most “praise and achievements,” Shields post, adding“I am Team Angel Reese!”
Shields attended the award ceremony with her lover, Brooklyn rapper Papose.
“For enrollment of my first bet, I came how a champion should do,” He posted on InstagramSaying that the couple enjoyed full experience.
For the Sportsman of the Year Award, it went to Philadelphia Eagle’s super bowled quarterback Jalen Hurts.
He reinforced an area that included Aaron Judge, Anthony Edwards, Dion Sanders, Jesan Tatam, Lebron James, Sacwon Barcale and Stephen Curry.
