It is not how it should have worked.
Houston was not a “power” conference football program as the South West Conference was one thing – Michael Jordan was then a baseball player.
The conference was some thin times as part of the USA and AAC, but Houston was all set to be a player and it now stepped up to four levels and big 12.
Cougars have gone 4-8 in their first two big 12 years, and have failed to go to a bowl in the back-to-back season for the first time since the end of the Dana Demail era in 2001 and 2002.
Last year, there was a true reconstruction under Man Willy Fritz, the head of each other. The crime was the second worst in the nation – it failed to score more than 18 points in nine matches, and failed to score a double -point points four times – but a glimpse of hope.
Houston spoiled the Canasus State, killed Utah’s bowl opportunities, and shocked the TCU on the road. And now there is real hope to see Big 12 parts and promote to play.
Fritz is a terrible coach, the staff barely hit the transfer portal for several upgrade, and now there is depth, talent and a schedule that must be enough for two-win correction and a bowl game. But first, there should be improvement in a night and day from there …
