NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race

Jack Perkins, who compete in the Australian supercars series, will make their NASCAR XFINITY debut at Portland International Raceway with Gibbs Racing on 30 August, the team announced on Thursday.

Perkins said in a team’s statement, “This is a long -held dream for me, and I am very excited about driving in NASCAR’s Xfinity series for Gibs.”

“I started thinking about competing in NASCAR when I first visited America to see Marcos Ambros in Sonoma in 2008, and became a spotter for Paul Morris, who was selecting an Arka West Race at the end of the same week.

“It has been a long journey to reach here. I have come close to some time, but we cannot prepare all the ducks. Now coach to do this with Gibbs and JGR proves that you should never give up.”

One team makes a permanent change and the other takes a temporary step.

Perkins arrived in the US earlier this week and spent time in Gibbs Racing. He has gone through a seat fitting and is in the Toyota Racing Development Simulator. He will participate in the Charlotte Motor Speedway at the end of this week and the Coca-Cola 600.

“Jack has a distinctive career in the Australian Supercars series and is highly recommended by James Small, our crew head James Small,” A statement by the team said Executive Vice President Xfinity Series and Development Steve Desuza. “We are excited to start our Xfinity series with us on the road course in Portland.”

Cup driver Charlotte will compete in the long -long race of the season at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Chhote Perkins said: “James and I grew up together, running Australia’s race paddox as children, while our dads were busy doing their things, and we are close partners. James will be on weekends with a cup series in Darlington, we are racing in Portland, but we are doing all the things that can help me prepare and make a successful experience of Jemes and a successful experience Is.”

Perkins have three repo supercars championship podium finish, nine race win and Dunlop Super 2 have 35 podiums, equivalent to NASCAR’s XFINITY series.
