2025 WNBA regular season is almost here, and teams are finalizing their roster before opening day. Despite selecting 38 miscreants in last month’s WNBA draft, many have already been waived – which includes number 14 overall pick Madison Scott.
On Sunday, Dallas Wings announced the news about Ole Miss Standout.
“Dallas Wings has forgiven Guard Mai Yamamoto and Guard-forward Madison Scott, the team announced today,” Press release,
Scott assishes five seasons under the head coach Yola Mackfi-Mackin in Oxford, an average 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 per game. Together, she led Ole Miss four consecutive NCAA tournaments showing – a major change for a program that had not created a tournament since 2007.

After Scott’s release, McFi-Mackin shared his disappointment on social media. He kept it small, just posting:

Scott watched limited action in both the President of Dallas. In the first matchup against the Las Vegas Aces, he played 6 minutes and 4 seconds, recorded from just one dishonesty. In the second game against the team Toyota Antelops, he logged in 6 minutes and 11 seconds, moved from the field 0 -for -1, and grabbed a rebound.
The wings still have another roster cut before the final day of its early day lineup by 15 May. WNBA teams are allowed to go to a maximum of 12 players in regular sessions.
Dallas started training camps with 18 players, but since then Mikia has waived Herbert Harigan, McKenzie Forbes, Harnet Vonleh, Yamamoto and Scott.
Wings will open the season against Minnesota Links on Friday. Arlington, Tip-off in Texas, is scheduled for ET at 7:30 pm and number 1 will mark the WNBA debut of the overall pick piye bouqukers.
