Former Barcelona manager and current Netherlands head coach Ronald Coman has reflected Arsenal in the Champions League on the unpredictable 3–0 defeat of Real Madrid.
Despite the heavy shock, Koman made it clear that if any club can pull a dramatic change, it is Madrid, even if further work is difficult.
Coman, who has experienced the intensity of European nights with both Barcelona and Netherlands, expressed confidence that real Madrid is still very alive in tie.
He admitted that the arsenal was a strong side at night, but he is convinced in Madrid’s improvement and ability to fight back.
“If there is a team that can turn such a result, then it is Madrid,” Koman said.
“They need to be improved, yes, but Madrid has always shown that they can get up on the occasion, especially in the Champions League.
“Arsenal was much better that night, but we all know the history of Madrid. They have the quality of coming back,” He said.

Koman also emphasized the importance of real Madrid’s experience in high-day situations, especially under Carlo Anseloti, who mastered many memorable comeback in his career.
In the competition, the lineage of Madrid, combined with the depth and determination of his team, gives him a chance to a fight.
While Koman avoided giving strategic advice to Mikel Arteta, he indicated that Arsenal should be careful with the spirit of real Madrid fight.
Arsenal may be prominent in the first phase, but Coman knows better than anyone that real Madrid can flip the script in a moment, especially when Santiago plays at home in a scared environment of Burnbu.
“Arsenal should play his game,” Koman said. “But Madrid has a return experience and talent. Quality is, and they have shown it countless times in the past.”
As the second leg comes, Coman’s words remind of the unmatched ability of real Madrid, when it matters the most.
His genealogy in the Champions League means that, despite the difficult battle, no one should write them yet.
