Two seasons ago, Michigan University rode a great defense towards its first National Championship since the 1997 season. One of those players moved on a handful of 2024 NFL drafts, including defensive lineman Chris Jenkins (Bangles), Cornerback Mike Serristil (Commander) and Lineback Junior Kolson (Chargers), which include the top 100 pics. This year’s Wolverin did not reach the same heights, but they had some players who played in the first round that played in that national championship defense.

Along with the defensive linemen Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, Cornerback Will Johnson, all have a chance to go in the first round this year – Michigan has a year less than the standard set in 2023.

The down year is partially explained. Five players were drafted from defense alone, and 13 The total spring was drafted to the family. The amount of talent and leadership, especially on crime, was difficult to replace. On this year’s roster, the players could not come anywhere close to the aggressive production that put even more pressure on defense, which faced a decline in their own production and performance. However, players who are estimated to go to the top of the class are still considered a reason that it is considered excessive.

Graham is likely to be the first Michigan player this year, but he was suffering from injuries during his last collegiat season and was a left heel brooze that prevented him from working in NFL Commonen. Graham is a disruptive, supreme athletic defensive tackle that can easily lift the ground with ease when healthy. Graham played for Michigan in all 12 matches this season and made seven tackles for loss and seven tackles for 3.5 sacks. Michigan did not have the same depth, which played a larger role than Graham (and Grant), which he had earlier. Even with an injury-damaged weather, Graham was able to demonstrate the skill level and disruption as a potential top-pic. Eye data were not extraordinary, but it is difficult to find defensive tackle that walks like Graham – and so far, there is no need that these injuries will roam in NFL.

Grant was a good complement to Graham’s sleeper and explosive style. Grant is also explosive, but in 330 pounds, its explosion reveals itself in a different way. There is a terror at the point of the grant attack and was incredibly difficult to move to the college’s aggressive lineman. He profiles the nose at the next level as a clean -suitable profile and shows his athleticism in that size, seven tackles for damage and three bags – the same standard production of Graham. Grant’s ability to push his pocket into its shape, with his stellar run defense will give him a chance to pick up the first round, even though the perception of valuable run defense in recent years has hit. This bill is joining the “Planet Theory” of the parcel, where there are very few people on this large planet and it is athletic that teams cannot pass them. Grant will listen to his name quickly during next week’s draft.

Johnson can be the biggest question mark in the first round, which is surprising after how was played on the defense of that title in 2023. The Johnson season was coming as a prominent starting as a head-five lock, which was a prominent player outside the cornerback probability-really difficult players to find for NFL teams. Johnson definitely had its own moments of talent in 2024, but the turf was disrupted by a shoulder injury before suffering from toe, which stopped her from working on the alliance. He was also working with a hamstring injury, which did not allow him to perform at Pro Day of Michigan in the lead until the draft. With some concerns about their long speed, it is going to be a little related.

Johnson’s draft process may drop him down from the board, but someone is going to take a initial swing on him, which he is already shown on the tape. It is difficult to determine how big the risk of Johnson is, but he has undoubtedly gone through some high and low climb in the last two years. Nevertheless, the capacity of lockdown cornerback will be very difficult for a team in the first round.

Michigan’s championship defense continued to keep the players in NFL, even if the team has fallen by one year in 2024. Edge Rashar Josaiya Stewart and Safety Makar Paigi are also estimated to be a draft class to NFL players, but Graham, Grant and Johnson are players to monitor Volvarin this year.
